Powering up all-electric road freight in Australia – New Energy Transport and Kaizen
It’s been a busy few months here at Kaizen, with our team supporting a number of Australia’s leading climate technology companies and investors to make waves in national and international media. Some of our work we are most proud of is summarised in the case study below, where we describe the impact of our work with Australia’s first all-electric road freight company New Energy Transport (NET).
Kaizen has been working with Australia’s first all-electric road freight company New Energy Transport (NET) since October 2025 acting as a strategic advisor to help the company refine its strategic narrative, raise its profile, engage with industry stakeholders, partners, investors, and politicians, and earn agenda-setting national and international media coverage.
Kaizen’s team has worked in partnership with the company’s Co-Founders, Daniel Bleakley and Fredrik Pehrsson, to guide the company through its formative months, managing a series of major announcements and milestones for the company including:
Australia’s longest single-charge heavy electric truck delivery
Australia’s first ‘end to end’ all-electric customer road freight delivery – culminating in all electric prime mover parking in front of Parliament House in Canberra
NET’s selection as an inaugural participant in the Australian Government’s Investor Front Door scheme, recognising the NET depot as a project of national significance
NET’s first capital raise, in partnership with Pollination and Jekara Capital
Announcing NET’s Rapid Deployment Plan – which involves the deployment of 20 electric prime movers in response to global energy shock
Working with partners Volvo and Unilever to announce the delivery of NET’s first truck, and Unilever as the company’s foundation client.
In just nine months (October 2025-July 2026), Kaizen has helped NET secure over 1,000 pieces of coverage including high profile coverage and interviews with ABC’s 7:30, The Australian Financial Review, The Sydney Morning Herald, ABC News online, Radio National, Sky News, The Today Show, The Daily Telegraph, Sunrise, The Guardian, The Saturday Paper, News.com.au, talkback radio across the country as well as globally via Reuters and with key investor and client focused industry publications.
In addition to earned media and strategic communication support, Kaizen has also supported NET with government and MP relations, issues management and content creation.
This coverage has helped position NET, and Co-Founders Daniel Bleakley and Fredrik Pehrsson, as leaders in Australia’s transition to electric road freight, helping the company to attract investors and potential clients, influence policy and lead a national conversation about the strategic importance and economic benefits of electrifying Australia’s road freight sector.
Kaizen looks forward to continuing to support NET as it continues to onboard new investors and clients, and the company accelerates toward achieving its vision of an all-electric road freight sector in Australia.
