Chris Williams - Founder and Director

Chris is the Founder of Kaizen and a PR, media relations and strategic communications specialist with nearly 20 years’ experience protecting and enhancing the reputations of companies, government departments and high-profile individuals in Australia, the UK, Asia, and Europe.

Over the course of his career, Chris has consulted to organisations in almost every sector, helping some of the world’s best known brands to launch new products, implement profile raising campaigns, manage crises and reposition themselves.

Chris has helped entrepreneurial companies to launch, grow and position themselves for long term success. He has also managed the media in high-pressure, high stakes, and ultimately history-making election campaigns. He has also helped train CEOs, MPs, athletes, and start-up clients to make the most of their media, influencer, and stakeholder engagement opportunities.

Chris is a sustainability communication specialist and has extensive experience advising and working with organisations (large and small) on sustainability projects around the world. From securing high-profile media coverage, to managing stakeholder communications, developing strategy and responding in crisis, Chris has extensive experience helping organisations tell their sustainability story.

Ben Hornbrook - Principal Advisor

Ben Hornbrook is an experienced communication advisor with nearly 20 years’ experience providing strategic counsel and support to leaders across the private, public, and non-profit sectors. 

During his career he has worked with some of Australia’s largest companies, as well as federal and state government departments, ambitious scale-ups and leading not-for-profits, helping them enhance their impact through effective communication and engagement. 

Ben specialises in developing and implementing complex communication and stakeholder engagement strategies, crafting key messages and developing content that cuts through, informs and encourages action, and managing high-impact media relations campaigns. 

He has experience across a broad range of industries including financial and professional services, technology, energy, telecommunications, health and wellbeing, education and sport. In particular, he is proud to have played a pivotal role in helping Australia’s largest insurer raise awareness of climate change impacts and promote community preparedness, conceiving and implementing an award-winning national campaign securing thousands of pieces of media coverage. He has also supported range of organisations articulate their sustainability positioning and strategy and achieve recognition for their progress.
